About this Presentation
Effective strategic planning and execution is critical to the success of any organization. TOC provides an excellent tool set for strategy to enable an organization to satisfy the market now and in the future, satisfy employees now and in the future, and make money now and in the future. This 0 to 60 webinar provides an introduction to the TOC methods, which provide the necessary and sufficient solution elements for achieving the vision/goal of the organization. The transformational strategy and tactic tree is an incredibly powerful tool for synchronizing all the actions needed to transform an organization into a “well-oiled” machine for satisfying the goal and necessary conditions.
What Will You Learn
To help you get the most value from this session, we’ve highlighted a few key points. These takeaways capture the main ideas and practical insights from the presentation, making it easier for you to review, reflect, and apply what you’ve learned.
The session reveals that true strategy begins with clearly defining what success looks like and deeply understanding the system’s constraint before choosing “solutions.”
It shows how untested assumptions about markets, capability, and resource priorities often hide real conflict and cause strategies to fail once implemented.
The presentation illustrates how linking goals, prerequisites, injections, and measures in a structured S&T Tree aligns priorities and exposes hidden obstacles to execution.
It emphasizes that selecting the wrong metrics can derail strategy — true improvement comes from measures that reflect overall system performance, not local efficiency.

Dr. Lisa Anne Ferguson
Dr. Lisa Ferguson's goal in life is to illuminate the way to utopia for individuals, organizations, and the rest of society. Our strategies and tactics are based on using the Theory of Constraints (TOC), combined with other best practices to dramatically improve strategic planning and execution, retail, education, healthcare and the health/happiness/success of individuals with a holistic approach. TOC was founded by Dr. Eli Goldratt to achieve his goal in life of teaching the world to think. Goldratt as he trained her to become an even more successful writer and speaker, while further developing her TOC expertise. Her service on the TOCICO Board of Directors in an elected, unpaid position is from 2008 – 2011 and 2020 – 2021.
