About this Presentation

The webinar provides a simple improvement approach and examples of how to apply TOC and lean principles with the selected value stream especially in the business-to-business ( B2B) environment. Can this be done e.g. with an important customer dissatisfied for delivery performance and with risk of losing sales or with a critical supplier causing disturbances to production. Suitable e.g. for doing a small scale SCM improvement in an organization where TOC is not known or as a showcase, a starter or part of a wider improvement. The idea is to select the most business critical value stream where benefits are substantially bigger than the effort or cost of improvement and involve people running the process in the improvement. When used to improve certain value streams through the company, from sales to purchasing, can reveal more generic issues causing disturbances to flow (on which to focus later on). Under scope can be order-delivery process, and where relevant, also demand supply planning.

What Will You Learn

To help you get the most value from this session, we’ve highlighted a few key points. These takeaways capture the main ideas and practical insights from the presentation, making it easier for you to review, reflect, and apply what you’ve learned.

Plane
Understanding the entire process is crucial for effective improvement. Without a clear understanding of how the whole process works, it is difficult to identify inefficiencies and implement effective solutions.
Involving people in the process helps to maintain and improve the process performance. When people understand why changes are being made and how they contribute to the overall process, they are more likely to support and maintain these improvements.
Selecting the right value stream can lead to the best possible business case. Factors such as customer satisfaction, similarity of the process to others, and the possibility of improvement should be considered when selecting a value stream.
