In the autumn of 2003, the Japanese edition of “Critical Chain” was published. By the time of late 2004, the software development team in Being had already been implementing CCPM on their pilot projects. – I believe that we are one of the earliest challenging companies in Japan who tried to pursue TOC in the very early stage of TOC introduction to Japanese market. In this case study, I would like to introduce our decade long challenges and experiences. First of all, I will introduce our experience of single-project CCPM implementation, which was applied to all the projects in system development division. Second topic will be about the multi-project CCPM implementation we had tackled. There were a lot of efforts by internal champions to overcome negative ideas and impressions which had unfortunately grown up in our organization during our first challenge of single-project CCPM implementation. As you can imagine, it was not a very easy road to run. Finally I would like to share our experience of how we started implementing the S&T Tree to our organization, which brought us more significant results compared to our early stage with TOC. The flow of our software development pipeline was incredibly improved and Being made a V-shaped recovery from a continuous performance deficit. It will be grateful if you could get some hints from this case study, in order to implement the S&T Tree in your environment.
