Dino Petrarolo

Dr. Dino Petrarolo is employed by The South African Breweries Ltd - Beer Division as Manufacturing Development Manager. He obtained both his MSc(Eng) and PhD degrees in Industrial Engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg. He also holds a BSc degree in Computer Science and is registered as a Professional Engineer in South Africa, as well as a Chartered Engineer in the UK. He has had a diverse career in systems, production management and consulting with the Highveld Steel Group, Price Waterhouse & Organisation Development International. His experience includes the development and implementation of manufacturing strategies, World Class Manufacturing (WCM), supplier development and industrial engineering related improvement initiatives. Dino joined South African Breweries in 1997 as Manufacturing Development Consultant at its Central Office. In 1999, he was appointed Quality Assurance Manager for the Eastern Cape region, where he was involved in the planning and commissioning of the Ibhayi Greenfield Brewery, which has set many new benchmarks in operational work practices and performance. In January 2003, Dino was appointed Manufacturing Development Manager – SAB Ltd, responsible for Manufacturing Strategy and related activities. South African Breweries is a wholly owned subsidiary of SABMiller PLC.
