Maciej Sztompke

Maciej Sztompke is an expert in strategy and business excellence with 40 years of experience. A graduate of the Warsaw University of Technology, he worked in IT control from 1987 to 1992. Along with his team, he successfully designed and implemented a pioneering computer system for railway traffic management in Poland. He gained corporate experience during a 15-year career at BigPharma GlaxoSmithKline, where he established the IT department and led one of the first and largest comprehensive digital transformation programs for medical representatives in the Polish pharmaceutical industry (serving approximately 500 people). He also led an international IT team during Poland’s largest privatization in 1998—Glaxo’s acquisition of the state-owned pharmaceutical company Polfa Poznań. Throughout four subsequent mergers and major reorganizations, he managed management information, marketing, and sales excellence systems. After leaving the corporate world in 2007, he became an independent strategy consultant and entrepreneur, managing companies in the BPO industry. During this time, he met Marek Kowalczyk, a Polish TOC expert, who introduced him to The Goal, a book that marked a turning point in his career. As a self-taught learner, he undertook years of intensive study in all areas of TOC, utilizing books and online resources. He quickly and successfully applied TOC principles in his consulting practice and businesses. His expertise in TOC enabled him to popularize its knowledge in Poland, contributing to postgraduate studies at the Higher School of Economics in Kraków and full-time programs at the Faculty of Management at the University of Warsaw. Maciej specializes in Thinking Processes, Strategy and Marketing according to TOC, and CCPM. In 2014, he founded his current company, Maciej Sztompke Centrum Usług Telefonicznych sp. k., which specializes in outsourcing communication processes for large Polish companies and Polish branches of international corporations. The company employs 32 people, over 90% of whom are individuals with disabilities. Operating entirely remotely through the Internet and advanced ICT platforms, the company’s unique business model and services were developed using TOC tools and principles.

Ms Alka Wadhwa

Alka Wadhwa is an experienced consultant and process improvement expert with over 24 years of expertise in the Theory of Constraints (TOC), Lean Six Sigma, and organizational performance optimization. She has successfully led projects in healthcare, financial services, and manufacturing, driving significant improvements such as a 67% boost in hospital operations and a 140% increase in outpatient visits. Previously, Alka Wadhwa spent 17+ years at GE Global Research Center, where she led initiatives to enhance various GE businesses through advanced technologies, process redesign, and system optimization. Founder of Better Solutions Consulting, LLC, she specializes in using TOC, Six Sigma, and data analytics to streamline operations and build high-performance teams. Her work has earned her multiple accolades, including the Empire State Award of Excellence in healthcare.

Dr Gary Wadhwa

Dr. Gary Wadhwa is a Board Certified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon with extensive experience in the field. He completed his Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery training at Montefiore Hospital, Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, NY, and has served as an Attending at prestigious institutions like St. Peters Hospitals, Ellis Hospital, and Beth Israel Hospital in NY. With a career spanning over two decades, he was the former CEO and President of a group specialty practice in NY from 1994 to 2015. Dr. Wadhwa holds an MBA from UT at Knoxville, TN, and has undergone additional training in System Dynamics at MIT, Health System Management at Harvard Business School, and Entrepreneurship and healthcare innovations at Columbia Business School. Committed to expanding access to Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery care, he is currently engaged in a meaningful project to provide healthcare services to underserved populations in inner city and rural areas through non-profit Community Health Centers.
