TOC in Academia Round Table Discussions invites industry and academics to come together to discuss two issues. The first is identifying opportunities and issues experienced by TOC academics within the education space, the second is discussing ideas to assist academia to develop sustainable TOC industry academia collaboration.

There is a need to raise awareness and improve the teaching of Theory of Constraints (TOC) in universities.

Dr. Pauline Ross
Dr Pauline Ross is an academic in the School of Business, Western Sydney University. Pauline’s research interest is in addressing constraint in engagement. Current research involves university-industry engagement system constraints and the constraints in the system that cause student disengagement. She gained her doctorate in 2021 which used the TOC Thinking Processes to map the constraints in university research commercial transfer within Australian universities. Pauline’s teaching passion is working with students and industry partners through collaborative practical research projects on sustainable business practices. A keen interest to learn more about the Theory of Constraints from other academics and practitioners led her to TOCICO.org and she is currently the Chair of the Bridge to Academia Committee.
